CryptoGrow donates to the Last Prisoner Project to do our part in advocating for those unjustly deprived of their freedoms by the war on drugs, uplifting individuals, families, and communities.
CryptoGrow donates a portion of revenue to The Last Prisoner Project (LPP), a 501(c)(3) βcommitted to freeing every last prisoner of the unjust war on drugs, starting with the tens of thousands of individuals imprisoned for cannabis.β
What is the Last Prisoner Project? When did it start? Why?
The Last Prisoner Project was founded in 2019 out of the belief that no one should remain incarcerated for cannabis offenses.
They brought together a group of justice-impacted individuals, policy and education experts, and leaders in the worlds of criminal justice and drug policy reform to work to end the fundamental injustice that is America's policy of cannabis prohibition.
LPP's dedicated team works tirelessly to achieve our goal of freeing the tens of thousands of individuals still unjustly imprisoned for cannabis.
What else does LPP do?
LPP's dedicated team offers a full suite of services, from financial and emotional support programs to release efforts, public re-entry support, and legal policy advocacy.
Their programs meaningfully improve the lives of thousands of unjustly incarcerated Americans, victims of the unethical and unsuccessful war on drugs, and the families of those impacted.
LPP is on the frontlines of cannabis clemency, advocacy, and charity.
Has LPP succeeded? Does donating to them really make a difference?
LPP's policy team works with stakeholders across the country to pass and implement bills that will (1) provide release for individuals still incarcerated for cannabis, and (2) automatically clear cannabis records.

Services
LPP's prisoner support initiatives aim to improve the lives of their incarcerated constituents by providing them with financial and emotional support during their time behind bars.
Commissary Support Fund
Last Prisoner Project disburses quarterly commissary payments to individuals incarcerated for cannabis offenses in state and federal prison. Please email us to determine if you or your loved one is eligible for our commissary support program.
Letter Writing Program
While they fight to release every cannabis prisoner, you can connect with their constituents by participating in the letter writing program. Download a prison letter writing directory and guide to begin making a new pen pal!
LPP's release efforts work to secure the freedom of those currently incarcerated for cannabis.
Cannabis Clemency
The cannabis clemency program provides participants with the legal assistance and communication tools they need to craft and advance successful clemency petitions on the state or federal level.
Compassionate Release
This program matches at-risk, incarcerated, LPP constituents with attorneys that can file motions of compassionate relief on their behalf.
Resentencing
They work with the relevant judicial and correctional authorities to take advantage of resentencing opportunities and other post-conviction relief mechanisms.
In addition to legal and legislative advocacy efforts, LPP offers our reentry constituents financial and educational resources to support their journey in returning home.
MicroGrant Program
The most impactful way LPP supports their constituents upon release is through their micro-grant program. To date, the grant program has disbursed over $1.5 million to individuals negatively impacted by cannabis prohibition.
LPP has also partnered with cannabis industry education providers to offer their constituents scholarships for various cannabis certification courses and educational programs, as well as webinars and trainings covering various topics relevant or beneficial to reentry constituents
Policy Work
Legalization is not enough. LPPβs policy team provides nonpartisan, evidence-based technical assistance to jurisdictions working to advance cannabis laws that provide retroactive relief.
Implementing a commercial market for cannabis is only part of legalization. We must undo the harms of prohibition through state initiated resentencing and record clearance. This way our constituents can become fully free.
We provide direct support to constituents who are incarcerated or reentering communities around the country. But we also seek policy change, so people do not continue to be criminalized for cannabis activity.
LPP works to advance cannabis policies that balance the needs of public safety with public interest, to develop a unified roadmap that drives toward fair and just policies that redress the harms of the failed war on drugs.

Financials
As a registered 501(c)(3) organization, LPP is required to be financially transparent. This means we know exactly where there money is coming from and going to, and we're proud to support a charity as cost-efficient and committed as they are!
